About Dr Broadhurst

One of my first memories as a child is being licked and looked after by our ten year old Maltese poodle Brutus. Brutus was with us until he reached an amazing 18 years of age before he passed on. From then, my love for animals big and small has been a constant in my life. Many wonderful four legged companions have accompanied me through my life thus far and for their love and loyalty I am always grateful.

I am fortunate to have grown up in the beautiful city of Cape Town and apart from spending some time overseas have stayed here all my life.

34At university I got my first real taste of horse riding. Some of my best times were spent riding Arabs through the Sappi forests in Natal, and from there, my love for horses and endurance riding grew and grew.

I am a qualified animal and human chiropractor. I graduated from Durban Institute of Technology in 2003 and then went on to specialize in sports chiropractic through the Federation International of Chiropractic Sports (www.fics-online.org.).

I have been in private practice since 2003 and together with my husband Dr Antony Angus (an acupuncturist and chiropractor) run the West Coast Chiropractic Centre in Tableview, Cape Town South Africa.

I am the only animal chiropractor certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association ( IVCA- www.ivca.de) in Cape Town. I specialized in animal chiropractic through Options for Animals in the USA and have been treating large and small animals chiropractically for approximately two years.

01I live in Blouberg with my husband and our two bull mastiffs, Spanner and Noodle. I am an avid half marathon runner and kite surfer.

Over the years, I have been greatly rewarded in my profession by witnessing the enormous benefits of chiropractic care in my patients. Subsequently, I decided to apply my knowledge and skills to my first love …animals. By treating animals with natural, non-invasive adjustments, I believe I have finally found my niche in life.
